The Soul of Sound

A monolithic sculpture that reveals itself as a high-performance listening system.
Where architecture, art and high fidelity meet: not a sound system, but an element able to converse with the space.
Born from a collaboration with a Milanese interior design studio, the project had a precise goal: not simply to create an audio system, but an element able to converse with the space, enhancing it both aesthetically and functionally.
The brief called for a system able to play two distinct but complementary roles: filling the studio with music and, at the same time, giving clients the chance to discover and listen to our work up close. We therefore needed a system able to move listeners during dedicated listening sessions, yet also accompany events, presentations and convivial moments with discretion.
To achieve this we developed a passive system with a strongly sculptural personality. The loudspeakers were conceived as true monoliths in polished white Carrara marble, designed to stand out in the space as independent pieces of furniture, closer to a design object than to a traditional audio system.
The surprise
One of the project's most distinctive features is the absence of visible components. The drivers are integrated into the structure and hidden from view, creating a delightful element of surprise: what looks like a monolithic sculpture turns out to be a high-performance playback system.
Acoustic architecture
The entire acoustic architecture was developed to deliver extremely wide and even sound dispersion. The low frequencies are directed towards the floor, using the room itself as an active part of sound propagation, while the upper section is designed to spread sound evenly through the surrounding space. A suspended diffuser element completes the system, providing particularly effective dispersion and helping to create an immersive listening experience from anywhere in the room.
